Technical Designer
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in a Technical Discipline (Minimum)
- Experience/Certification: Civil 3D, AutoCAD 2006 or newer; Prefer Land Development Desktop or equivalent
- Prefer: Five (5) years experience in Civil Design, Plats, Grading,
- Ability to layout and implement detailed construction drawings, profiles, and related drawing files and specifications used in planning and construction of civil engineering projects such as plats, subdivision grading and erosion control, sanitary sewer, paving, and storm sewer drawings ensure compliance with policies and standards.
- Ability to work closely with engineers in preparing drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instruction and notes) using CAD software programs
- Ability to create profiles and cross-sections, indicating relation of topographical contours and elevations to buildings, retaining walls, tunnels, overhead power lines, and other structures.
- Ability to travel to job site and perform field measurements
- Thorough knowledge of civil layout designs, specifications, codes, and standards on municipal, residential, and commercial projects.
- Demonstrated capability of organizing and preparing drawings
- Communications: Language fluency in English both written and verbal
- Computer: Common Desktop Applications and Drafting Calculations
- Self-Starter
